13 Favorites of 2013
Today I want to look back on my posts of 2013.
Here are 13 highlights that happened here at the ranch this year.
The year started off with a bang when Zachary became engaged. My first child to get married!
Audrey had a Hello Kitty party and I had so much fun planning all the theme decorations using my new Silhouette.
I tried a new experiment of planting spinach and lettuce in the winter time. It was a complete success and one I would like to do each year. Unfortunately, I didn’t get it planted early enough this year, so in February, I hope to plant seed.
Another first for me was to butcher our own farm animals – in this case 10 roosters! I did a lot of mental work-outs to build myself up for this task! 🙂
My hubby planned a wonderful getaway to Sedona for our 24th anniversary.
Then in May, Zachary was married! It was a beautiful event.
I like to write about homeschooling occasionally as well as family. Two of my favorite posts to write about in reference to children and homeschooling were “What is the goal in our children’s education?” and “Feeling Stressed?”.
The annual Sunday School kids camp-out where me and my husband take the kids out is always fun but exhausting.
I finally started the girls club I had dreamed about for so long and it has been a blast!
And then there were the days I was feeling nostalgic, seeing my 3rd child graduating from our highschool.
At the end of the year, I became inspired to do some organizing and completed two exciting projects – a menu planning magnetic chalkboard and a pantry make-over.
How fun for me to look back on the year. Thank you for coming along with me. I hope that in some small way this blog encourages and inspires you in your homemaking and homeschooling journey.
Come back tomorrow. I’ll have a freebie for you to download!
