Street Views of Vienna, Austria – Part Two of Day 2
After leaving the Hofburg Palace we hopped on the Big Bus and finished our tour of the town and some of the surrounding area. It was nice and relaxing and they also have ear buds for you to hear the audio tour of the historic places you are seeing.
The entire time we were there the weather was beautiful and warm. Austria gets a lot of rain, so maybe that is why they all seemed to love being outdoors while we were there? They wanted to take advantage of the good weather?
Playing soccer in the city.
Down by the Blue Danube (which is not blue in the least but brown 🙂 ) there were hammocks available for public use. Next to the hammocks, and of which I don’t have a picture, were some stair stepping machines and someone was actually making use of them. One thing we noticed while in Austria was the graffiti. There is quite a bit of it. You can see it in this picture.
Another picture showing how Austrians enjoy the outdoors and like to just hang out.
A small streetside cafe.
This is the real deal – a piggy “bank”.
Old Town Vienna was beautiful at night.
Built in 1869 – the Vienna State Opera house. It was beautiful to hear the music wafting out of the open windows as the musicians practiced.
On day 3 we went to the summer palace of the Habsburgs. Next time…
