A Peacock Themed Wedding and Reception
What happens when girls get to be about 20 – give or take a few years? 🙂 The fall in LoVe. After they fall in love, there’s a wedding. Well that’s where I was this past weekend at another niece’s wedding.
Emily’s wedding in March and Kristen’s in May.
I didn’t get a lot of great photos but I begged some off of a friend that took some really great ones. The so-so pictures were taken by me and the really good ones were taken by CF Shalom Photography.
An invite to a very special day.
Little details…
The peacock theme started with the invites and continued at the wedding. A very nice touch!
A relative of the bride put a few of these large bouquet’s together.
I loved the guest book table. This picture that I took doesn’t really capture the beauty of it.
The amazing string trio. If you haven’t heard them play, here’s a short You Tube video. They played before and during the wedding. Their diligence in practicing has paid off, they sound professional!
Here comes the Bride…
The Wedding Party…
Signing the Marriage Certificate…
The blending of two different colored sands, which can never be separated again.
The Reception…
Sunny Day Books (the name of our business) was able to supply them with old books that they used in decorating the hall. The books were a real conversation piece with the guests. We also gave everyone the liberty to take them home if they liked, and most of them were taken.
A peacock fanned napkin for the snack plate.
The wedding party table (before the wedding).
The cake table.
Gorgeous cake!
The table was unique in that it had pictures of the mother & father of the bride and groom, as well as grandparents, on their wedding day. I thought this was a really neat idea.
Just Married is the sign that’s behind them…
My sister and her girls ran the kitchen.
My boys helped serve…
along with a few others and those in the bridal party.
And after a lovely evening with some really good humorous speeches and a cheerful slide show that had everybody laughing, they were off amid showers of bird seed.
Congratulations to my niece Kristen and my new nephew Joshua!
(Seth’s signs are in demand. This is the 3rd one he’s done.)
