Aaron & Emily’s Wedding Part II

Saturday, March 10th was the big day for Aaron & Emily.  The weather at the time of their wedding was in the low 60’s with no wind.  That’s a big blessing in itself.  This time of year it can be pretty gusty.

The wedding was to begin at 2:30 but there were several last-minute things that were needing to be done still, so no one was allowed in to the chapel until 2:30.

At the request of Emily, Seth woodburned this sign for them.  It makes a nice keepsake for their new home, too.  This is his second sign that he’s made for a wedding and now his other cousin, who’s getting married in May wants one, too.

At the entrance to the wedding chapel were these shepherd hooks that had jars filled with spring-like flowers.

Kristen (cousin of the bride) was the guest book attendant.  The guest book was more of a journal where people could write a note along with their signature.

Justus had the important job of handing out programs.  He was so excited that Emily asked him to do this.  He handed out programs at his aunt’s wedding 3 years ago, so he feels like he’s a pro.

Just to show you how relaxed Emily’s family are – Emily’s dad was printing off the programs for the wedding an hour before it was to start.  We were looking for the programs to give to Justus and then we found out that they hadn’t arrived yet. 🙂

The guests were patient as they waited to enter the chapel.  The wedding was to begin at 2:30 but the doors didn’t open until then.  Uh, oh. 🙂

And then the wedding began… but I’m afraid that part of the post will have to wait for we must be leaving for a brunch that’s to be had with the groom’s family.

Hang on!  I told you it might take a while but we’ll get those pictures up.
