31 Days of Kitchen Inspiration Day 10: Open Shelving in Kitchens
Open shelving is not something I would have considered in the past but it certainly can be attractive as these pictures will show.
I love the vintage look of this kitchen. Notice the touch of color that’s added with the cups and scale.

This kitchen looks cozy – warm and inviting. Love the wood floor, too.

Visit Perfectly Imperfect and you can see the before picture of Shaunna’s cabinets with the doors still on.
If you need some really great tips on how to keep your open shelving always looking attractive, go to The Inspired Room and read Melissa’s post “How to have open shelving in your kitchen (without daily staging).”
So what’s your opinion? Does this make you think twice about your cupboard doors or are you thinking, “No way would I ever take my doors off.”

That’s neat you had this posted. I had just been talking to someone the other day about this and how I would like to do this if my
kitchen was set up such that I could better. I had considered leaving the doors off one cupboard when we redid them.
I think it looks neat.

Mary, If you scroll down to the picture credited to Perfectly Imperfect, there is a link that will take you to a picture that shows her kitchen before she took the cabinet doors off. It’s really interesting to see how it changed the whole look of her kitchen.

Very pretty but I think I’ll leave my cabinet doors on! I happen “re-organize” mine every so often and there are some days I feel more comfortable knowing what’s behind there without everyone else seeing what’s there! Lol!
