Our Family

Week in Review 2/27/11 – 3/5/11

We had a birthday here this week. Mine, as a matter of fact. I had a very nice day.  For my birthday breakfast, Zachary prepared a delicious omelet, Russ bought me some flowers and Serenity did the rest.  She’s always so thoughtful to me.

Friends from the south arrived at our place and we gave them a taste of farm life here at the ranch…

and showed them the beautiful grandeur of the Grand Canyon.

Of course, there’s always music.  We even convinced Seth to pull out his banjo which had not seen the light of day for several years.  We figured he just needed a straw hat and a piece of straw sticking out of his mouth for his costume to be complete.

Audrey prepared us a shake using her “secret” recipe.

And on Friday night we had a packed out house for our Bible study with the youth.  By 1 a.m. a few of the littles became so worn out they just found a good place to curl up and went to sleep.  Zzzzzz

On to Phoenix we went to have a visit with some other good friends and then we said goodbye to the family that had stayed with us.  Good friends and sweet times.

My Lucille, I really wish I could live up to your words. By God’s grace He keeps us headed in the right direction and I’m so grateful for Him and my patient and loving husband. It’s a good thing love covers a multitude of sins. 🙂

Seth still plays the banjo? Wow! How come HE isn’t playing in church? lol! Looks like you had a wonderful week. 🙂 I enjoyed getting to know the Tebo family. I hope they come back soon. 🙂

Thanks, Melissa for the birthday wishes. Yes, children can bring such joy although I have to say it mainly is at the direction of my daughter. She remembers the little things and actually most of the big ones, too. 🙂

I love hearing from you! Thank you for taking the time to comment.
