Our Family

The Week in Review 8/29/10

Russell’s oldest brother turned 50 this week and so we celebrated with the family. Being the helpful souls we are we gave him a cane to help him out in his grand “old” age.

The traditional birthday cake in my husbands family is angel food cake, topped with whipped cream and served with berries.  Berries make anything taste good!  God’s candy, my husband says.

Audrey was in to picnics this week.  She took her dad one day and then she had another one the next day.

I joined in on that one.  The spot was really pretty cozy.  It was like a little hideaway with only one opening.  And it had shade!

All finished with our crackers and cheese.

And I really wanted to do a whole post this past Friday on my dear husband but couldn’t because of computer issues. 🙁  But he did turn another year older and so we had a mini-celebration with a niece and nephew and my in-laws.

Happy Birthday to an admirable, patient and loving husband.

Have a wonderful week, friends

Those are lovely ideas! My girls hate having their hair done and when I do manage to get it combed and tidied, they take it out. I learned early that cheap elastics were the way to go for us. All our fancy clips are long lost.

I love hearing from you! Thank you for taking the time to comment.
