Trips We've Made

Our trips

  • Little Packages and Commercial Ice Fishing

The end of 2019 brought us a little present. Our 2nd grandson was born! Marrion Kenneth was born on December 28, 2019 weighing 8 pounds 2 1/2 ounces and measuring 20 1/2″ long. Born to our oldest son Seth and his wife, Jessica, Marrion Kenneth was named after Seth’s grandpa who just happens to be my dad. My father is a very special man and at this point there are 4 grandchildren (including great-grandchildren) that bear some part of his name. Seth’s middle name is also Marrion! Hope is quite happy with little brother. We got to go visit and meet little Marrion. It was a nice time! While we…

  • The Unique Bryce Canyon

Bryce has been on my bucket list for a long time and that is where we decided to take the family on our mini-vacation. It was such an amazing place and I highly recommend people to visit there. I would actually love to go back and explore it more. Where do you stop with the pictures? It was such a unique and beautiful place!

  • Family Vacations & Disc Golfing

Only 43 days till our daughter’s wedding and we are on a family vacation. Yikes! Dear hubby planned it and I’m very thankful for his efforts. It may not be the best timing but we didn’t want to miss our annual family trip that we started doing 2 years ago. Two years ago we went to Carlsbad Caverns and had quite a few hilarious moments. Last year we visited Colorado but sadly, I never wrote a post about that. On my to-do list though! This year we traveled to Utah. We ditched the motor home idea after our New Mexico trip since the reality didn’t meet up with the expectations…

  • Spending Time Outdoors

If you’ve reached middle age, you’ll know what I’m talking about when I say those years cause a mysterious happening in your body and those extra calories that you used to consume and burn off with little effort, instead decide to stick around and show themselves as extra pounds! The struggle is real is it not? I had determined that Russell and I really needed to take up a new hobby of hiking. It’s free, it’s good for us and nature is just plain beautiful. The only trouble is I decided that when we were going into Winter and I’m not a huge fan of cold weather or at this…

  • A Final Memorable Bike Ride in Austria (Day 8)

From the moment I read about it in our guide book I wanted to do it but it didn’t work out till the end of the trip – our very last full day in Austria. It was a bike ride. A bike ride where you ride (in my dreamy imagination) through the countryside and through little villages feeling the breeze against your face as you go downhill (for the guide book said it was a gentle downhill slope the entire way), sometimes beside the Blue Danube and sometimes not.   Riding along the Blue Danube We traveled to the town of Melk where the bike trail was to begin. Melk…
