Falling in Love
I fell in love while I was in Canada.
It was rather surprising actually…
because it caught me completely by surprise.
I would never have expected it.
But this little energetic, squirmy Jack Russell Terrier puppy just wiggled its way right into my heart.
He was zipping around bursting with life and enthusiasm over whatever little dogs think is worth zipping around for.
But he does have an important job and one I had no idea dogs did.
You see, he’s a mouser for this sheep barn. Cats carry too many diseases for them to be around the livestock, so little Jack Russell was brought in to do that important duty.
A sheep barn full of Arcot sheep.
If you want to catch a mouse, I guess you’d want to be pretty fast.
I don’t know if the sheep fully appreciate the efforts little Jack Russell goes to. Maybe they even wonder why he races around like a maniac.
But just look at those sweet faces!
…and this sweet one 🙂
“Yoo hoo, hey there! Don’t ignore me!”
That’s more like it!
The moral of the story.
You just never know where love will turn up.
It can happen even in a sheep barn in Manitoba.

Wow, he is a cute little pup! I didn’t know there is a dog that will catch mice. That’s great and didn’t know cats aren’t safe because of diseases – for livestock farms.
