The Wedding of Seth & Jessica
The day of the wedding was cold at 21°F but bearable for those of us from Arizona… if you dressed in layers. That is the secret I have learned after almost freezing myself a few times up there which I may have or have not mentioned several times before now! Some things about visiting the Great White North in the middle of winter sticks with you. 🙂
Serenity and another young lady were the guest book attendants.
Justus was an usher and Audrey was an attendant handing out programs.
Waiting behind the scenes.
Jessica (my new daughter-in-law) was raised on a ranch where they have several thousand head of Charolais cattle, so the western/ranching blood in her was evident in the wedding decorations.
Jessica’s father passed away last year so her brother gave her away. He wore his dad’s boots signifying he was filling his dad’s shoes.
I have a lot of respect for this family. Losing your dad/husband is not easy but they have stood strong in their faith and are a wonderful example of complete trust in God.
Seth had asked Zachary to give a little sermonette.

It was special for Seth to have his Uncle John marry him and Jessica.
My family has grown.
The reception was lovely.
The menu was:
Prime Rib
Baked Potatoes
Beans
Garden Corn
Homemade Rolls
Garden Salad
It was so very good!
A homemade cookie was packaged in each of these brown paper wrappers and placed at each place setting as a favor.
Neither Seth or Jessica wanted cake but instead chose to have an ice cream bar.
There was someone dishing up the ice cream and on this table there were all kinds of topping choices.
Brothers
Here on one side, there was a cute display of all the grandparents and parents’ wedding day pictures.
The other side had pictures of Jessica and her daddy together along with some quotes.
Jessica’s siblings and mother.
I feel so blessed to have such a Godly and sweet girl for my son. My hearts prayer was heard and answered.
And with Christ by their side and as their guide they can weather all the storms of life.
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs.!
Wesley put together a slide show for their reception. Enjoy.
