Our Family

From Dirt to Grass in One Day (Almost)

Work has not stopped in the backyard. Something is always going on back there. After all, we have a deadline of August 13 which is when we’ll be having my daughter’s homeschool highschool graduation party.

Trenches had to be dug for the sprinkler system.

350 tons of soil was brought in because where we live there are rocks, rocks, rocks!

The soil had to be leveled out.  So many tasks needed to be accomplished before the sod could be laid.

My hubby pulled a few all-nighters to get everything ready… but it still wasn’t when the sod arrived.

But after feverishly working and running around trying to get 10 things done at once….

Our first piece of sod was laid!

As they lay the grass, the dirt is leveled just ahead.

And today, things are starting to click together.

I’m loving that tree – an Arizona sycamore.

The sod should all be in place by this evening. We’re really hoping the sprinkler system will be able to do all the work of watering. With our last lawn we had to hand water in certain areas but we really don’t want to have to do that anymore, as you can imagine.

More backyard updates coming your way… soon

It looked SOOOOOOO beautiful and refreshing while I got to be there. How I could spend hours in your yard and I hope you all can really have time to relax and enjoy spending time in your yard together “chilling” after so much hard work when the graduation celebration is over. You sure have a wonderful resort there and what a lovely place for any weary traveler to come and be refreshed, energized, feel loved and then hate to leave! I sure did appreciate your hospitality. It is always a blessing to see you lovely fine people. You are top notch and no one can top you all in your service to others. God bless you 100 fold!

I love hearing from you! Thank you for taking the time to comment.
