Make Your Own Chalkboard Scoreboard

Is it age? I don’t know but I’ve noticed that whenever we’re playing walleyball we seem to short circuit when it comes to knowing what the scores are, so I got the idea to add a chalkboard scoreboard in our walleyball court. (Wondering what a walleyball court is? It simply is a racquetball court but you can also play walleyball using the court. It’s a real sport and it’s lots of fun. Check it out.)

Simple and easy my project was but word of warning! Be sure that when you spray that you are more careful than I was about the overspray. 🙂 Eek! I did do a bit of scrubbing afterward to try and remove it but it only faded it a tad. I wish I’d been more careful!

I got these chalk board markers recently and love them. They make your writing on a chalk board so crisp and they are permanent UNTIL you use a damp cloth and then it wipes away. The colors are fun, too. If you don’t like the classic set, there are other color selections to choose from as well.

We voted on some team names. Wildcats was a complete winner and bulldogs just happened to slide in there. Last night Russell and I were playing racquetball and the score was only 4-3 but we couldn’t remember even that. We didn’t use the chalkboard but it may get to the point where we have to!
