Youth Camp in Ohio 2012 – Part II
At the youth camp there was always a lot going on. Volleyball, Basketball, Choir Practice, Sewing, Girls Only Talks on Modesty, Boys Only Talks, Campfire with Testimonies on 2 nights (one night it was just TOO HOT for a fire, so we stood around a fire pit that had wood minus the fire. That worked, too. 🙂 ) I didn’t get pictures of all these things but here are some of the other activities that went on.
Plenty to do for all ages, that’s for sure! I love seeing Justus and Audrey’s enthusiasm when they are planning to go to an activity. They are very aware of the time and they make sure they get where they’re supposed to be at the right time.
One afternoon there was a banquet planned. This is the last year we’ll be using this campground and they thought they would make it a special ending for the older kids – 14 and over. We got a chuckle watching the kids file into the dining hall. There was a wide spectrum of attire The older kids were coming in dressed in some of their finest and then…
then there were the kids you knew had to be only 14. They looked like they had just walked off the volleyball court in their hot sweaty attire. Obviously they’re not out to impress anyone – yet. 🙂 Give them a few years and that will probably change, aye?
That’s all I have time to post for today. Part III Still to Come.

Loved the photo including young boys to the banquet. Got a chuckle…just another year or two could change a lot. Lol

Yes, just a year or two and things will probably be drastically different. 🙂

Yeah…I thought most of the boys were lacking enthusiasm when it came to the “dressing up” part. lol:)
