Spring Mantle – 2012
Today is the 1st day of Spring and here was the view out my window this morning… Being Arizona this is not a common sight in Spring! But since it is Arizona, the snow doesn’t stay around long.
Over Sunday and Monday we got about 12″ of snow. So much fun…
It seems I just put up my Winter Mantle but here it is Spring already. I like how God has the different seasons. Each one has its own kind of specialness.
So here is my mantle welcoming Spring.
It seems I always have old books on my mantle. The bird is sitting on a 1×2 piece of wood that I took and glued moss onto.
The orchid was given to me on my birthday and is sitting in a small enameled pot that I “inherited” from a family friend over 20 years ago. I found the grapevine balls at an antique mall for $.75 each.
I think it’s fitting to have our picture of Jesus here. He’s the center of our life as well as His birth and resurrection both happened in the Spring time.
I’m joining up with Layla at the Lettered Cottage. If you want to see many other spring mantles, go take a visit. There’s lots of them there.

The display you’ve created is absolutely delightful and I’m so happy to have the chance to party with you this week! 🙂

So pretty and springy! I love Hoffman’s Head of Christ as the focal point and the yellows and reds add so much cheer.

I don’t know about that pot that hold the orchid. If you want that gorgeous plant to last longer, you need to water it correctly. Most people don’t know how to water their plan.ts. Check my website for a video on how to water your plant

Thanks, Stan. I really don’t know the first thing about orchids and I’m shocked it’s lived this long. I thought they needed to be in the rainforest to survive. 🙂

I just put up a video about re-potting Orchids. You might take a look see. Also I also put up a review of a potting mixture I like Hoffman 10804.
