Our Family

A Few of the Happenings in January with Family and Friends

I was very blessed this Dec./Jan. to have my sister and her family.  They were here for a month, splitting their time between Tucson and our place.

One day Audrey and Bethany (my sister’s girl) decided to go on a hike.  Audrey packed them some snacks and away they went.

They hiked quite a ways up the hill near our house before we got a phone call on the cell phone asking to be picked up.  Those girls had some stamina!

Unsure of what they would need, they gathered some unusual items for their “back packs”. 🙂  We didn’t get a picture of everything but some other items they took were frozen strawberries.  So cute to see what kinds of things they thought of.

We said “Goodbye” to Seth who flew to Canada for a month. Zachary is home for the month of January but is supposed to be going back to work sometime in February when the jobs begin again.  (I get one boy back home and the other one takes off.  What’s with that? 🙂 )

We made some new friends when we were in Tucson a few weeks ago for a singing event so they stopped by for a few days.  (that’s my sister on the left)

Sedona is gorgeous!

Then about 40 of us went skiing.

Yes, Arizona has enough snow to ski on and if we don’t get enough, the resort helps nature out a bit and manufactures it.  We have good mountains though.  Thankfully, the snow was only a little icy.

My sister and her family have all gone back to their home in PA but we have many good memories to think back on.

Love the items the girls took on their hike! It reminded me of when Anna was little, and a “trip” she took. Her choice of food items were: Potato & carrot peelings & cans of tuna but no can opener. 😉

How lovely to get to be with your sister and her family for a whole MONTH!

I love hearing from you! Thank you for taking the time to comment.
