October Family Updates Part II

How could I forget when I was posting our family updates for October that Justus and Audrey got the chicken pox? They started feeling sick to their stomache and had a slight fever and then the next day litte dots started showing up on their faces and other places. It took us awhile to figure out what it was.

They did so well and tried really hard not to scratch.

October always seems to be a short month for me because of the general elk hunting season here in Arizona. We only go for a week at the most (I went for 4 days this year.) but we do a lot of planning ahead of time and I do as much cooking beforehand as possible and then there’s the packing up of the trailer and all the rest of the gear… so this somehow seems to make October go by so quickly.

Camp was busy. We may be out in the woods away from civilization but bizzzy finds us out there, too.

The kids always had something going on.

and talking…

a little nature craft…

and some of us even did some hunting… lol

And then we had church at the Church in the Wildwood. 🙂 Do you remember the old, old song, “Church in the Wildwood…?” Well we decided to call our little “church” out there in the wilderness, Church in the Wildwood.
