October Family Updates Part I
No family updates for the month of October since we were having 31 Days of Kitchen Inspiration.
Since this blog is also a record of our family happenings, I’m going to give you all the updates for October in one post – maybe make that 2 or 3 posts.
Towards the end of September, Zachary found himself a ‘new to him’ car to replace the truck he had been driving. The truck had come to a not very good end. I wrote about Zach’s accident here.
The Garden – We picked almost all the basil and then made 3 1/2 pints of Pesto Sauce for the freezer.
Seth arrived home from his summer sojourn in Ohio. He’s now 21! Seth had a hope chest especially made for Serenity which he brought back with him. She was so surprised and teary eyed when he gave it to her.
We made a “Welcome Home” card for Seth. It was totally last minute to do these pictures. The first picture shows how we were feeling when he left – all sad and in the dumps. Then when we hear he’s coming hom – we’re all happy and quite excited.
And then… came the hunting season. That my friends, will have to be done in another post. Stick around. 🙂
