31 Days of Kitchen Inspiration Day 14: Kitchen Desks
Today is going to be a short post because we’re leaving for our annual elk hunting/camping trip. I’ll be cooking on a camp stove and will even be doing some foil packet cooking for about 60 people. You say 60 people? Yes, we have a rather large group of us that go hunting/camping every year.
It’s a really nice time for us all. We make a nice big wagon circle (trailers and tents), have a big campfire and group meals every night. Kids are running around having a good time, games are being played and we’ve even had “tea” in the Wall Tent Parlor (a fancy name for our wall tent). The real reason we go is for the hunt, so we’re happy when the victory sound is made (an elk bugling) as the hunters return from the morning or evening hunt for it means our freezer will have plenty of meat for the coming year.
Anyways, back to our 31 Days of Kitchen Inspiration. I did get my posts finished for while I’m gone and they’re scheduled to keep coming, so don’t miss out on Octobers, 31 Days of Kitchen Inspiration. Are you being inspired? I hope so.
I really need to see if there’s a way to upload larger pictures. These are quite small.
Today I want to share a few pictures of Kitchen Desks.
I don’t have a kitchen desk in my kitchen but I do have a space we’ve always used for our phone. It used to be a hotspot as Flylady would say but I’ve been doing pretty good about keeping it clutter free. Most Part of the time. 🙂
I really like how they added brick to the back of this desk area. More character, I think.
You should really click on the link below and see how Melissa went from a mess of cords to this.
I’m realizing that pops of color are important in any area…
I like how this kitchen desk has the little rod running over the top of it with the little cups to hold pencils/scissors, etc.
This desk is on wheels and underneath the counter but then…
it can be rolled out to be used as a desk. Love the contrasting colors, too.

What do I like about this desk? I like the light for the added interest it gives, the window with its bamboo shade and the upholstery on the chair for how it ties the shade and wall color all together.
This desk fits in nicely with the rooms cool colors.decorandyouhr.com

Some of the things I’m learning as I look at the different ways you can decorate your kitchen is…
- it’s important to have pops of color
- or have your decor/accessories give interest and lend itself to the style with which you are decorating
otherwise… you end up with a bland and boring kitchen… I’m afraid that’s what mine could be labeled but as I’ve been doing this series it’s inspired me to look at my space again and see if I can improve it.
What tips could you share to help me out?
