Our Family

The Sweetness of Childhood

Just 1 1/2 weeks ago (it seems so much longer than that with all the traveling we’ve been doing) my niece Zoe came to visit for a few days.  One morning we decided to go to a place near our house for a picnic breakfast.  It was sunny but partly cloudy and just a bit on the cool side.  The sun had went behind the clouds for a few moments but when it came back out my husband said, “There’s the sunshine…”

Audrey piped up and said…

We do call her Sunshine quite often – but not this time.  My husband reply was, “Well you’re a sunshine, too, but I meant the sunshine in the sky.”

Humorous but precious.

Kids can truly entertain themselves.  I really need to pause more often to listen in on or even just watch.

Thankful for my “blessings”.

Psalm 123:3-5
Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
