Week in Review 9/26/10
Last week we had the opportunity to pick as many apples as we wanted. I talked about making apple gift baskets here.
For some reason the Garden of Eden comes to mind when I look at this picture.
Would a few extra arms be useful?
The start of some apple turnovers from my budding cook, Serenity.
Zachary came up with a few of his own “special” recipes using no recipe.
Wrapping up our week, we made a trip to Tucson where Serenity was able to attend a tea party. My friend did a beautiful job.
The food was very delicious and looked lovely.
More recipes using apples are ahead of me this week. Does anyone have a favorite use for apples that they’d care to share?

I LOVE apple picking! …and making things with them! I wish I could have a WHOLE orchard of apples! Did you make any apple sauce? I like to add cinnamon and then freeze them in bags rather than can them. My children like it half frozen and slushy. Hmm… I think I’ll bring a bag for them for camp. We didn’t find many apples to pick this year… if you ever come across any trees that need some extra pickin… let me know 😉
