Tablescaping

Enjoying the Last Bits of Summer – Tablescape

Only 1 week till my two oldest sons are back home.  I’m so excited!  They’ve been gone too long and I’m anxious to have all my chicks back in the nest. 😀

Oh, yes.  I’m supposed to be showing you the tablescape I did this week.  I’ll be happy to oblige, my friends…

The weather has been quite nice in the mornings and we have been enjoying eating out on our little balcony.

I find it quite challenging trying to think of new combinations for a tablescape using what I already own – and I’m only on my 3rd tablescape.  You ladies that do it week after week are so creative and amazing.

A very sweet young friend gave me these dishes that she found in an antique shop. I love them!

These compote bowls were given to me after a dear friend passed away.

My added decorations were these little bunnies given to us as a wedding gift and a centerpiece of fresh mint from our garden, placed in an old bucket bought at an antique store. Oh yes, I almost forgot to mention that the tablecloth was made by me. My humble attempts in the sewing room.

I like to make tablecloths, too. They can make a table so extra special. I like your cloth, and I really adore your luncheon plates from Scotland. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay

What wonderful colors for the end of summer. Sweet little bunnies peeking out at all the lovely dishes you’ve set — what great little plates your friend found for you and I love your anniversary plates. This is all very sweet and charming.

I love hearing from you! Thank you for taking the time to comment.
