Our Family

The Week in Review 5/30/10

The week started with a BBQ on Sunday, May 30, with about 40 of us.  We had the typical Memorial Day fare with hamburgers and hot dogs…

and of course, ice cream.  That’s almost a given when you come to our house. 🙂

Not much happened that was picture-worthy during the week until Friday when we went to my sister in law’s for supper.  I always feel as if I’m at a resort when I go to their place.

Saturday, we went to a lovely tea party with its theme being international.  Serenity was dressed Chinese, I was from Mexico and Audrey was Heidi/peasant girl.

East Indian & French

We visited Mexico, Israel, England and Russia during the course of our tea party and made these adorable coin bags.

After the tea party we went to a friends house where she took me on a tour of their property, showing me some wild herbs she has identified.  She is wanting to learn all about herbs and how to use them for health, making her own tinctures, etc.  Very interesting to me, too!  I felt like an herbalist in the field.

This was my teacher. 🙂

While I was being educated on the wild herbs, the girls were having a lot of fun playing in the irrigation canal.

And finally, our friends, who knew Serenity was looking for a female puppy found us this one – an Australian/Labrador mix which is 7 weeks old.  Serenity is still trying to choose a name.  Any suggestions?

I love hearing from you! Thank you for taking the time to comment.
