Wash Day

Laundry – I don’t know why but I like to do laundry! When this new attitude crept up on me I’m not sure; I didn’t always care for it. Hearing the washer and dryer running makes me feel good inside. The room feels cozy and it can look tidy and clean for awhile, not like the kitchen which gets messed up so quickly.

Monday’s are my laundry day. This is the day that I try to get everything washed, ironed and put away. I don’t always achieve this but I come close, at the very least making a pretty big dent in what has accumulated over the weekend.

My kids fold their own underclothes and on Monday’s they iron 2 items (usually this is their Sunday church outfit that they wore the day before).

This “laundry hamper” works great. When any one of the three compartments become full it means a full load of laundry. One compartment holds jeans, rags, dark colored items; another holds coloreds and dish towels and the last holds all the whites. I hang my shirts while they are still quite wet (they are only in the dryer a few minutes) so that I will have less ironing to do.

Ahhh!  Another wash day completed.  How good it feels.

Attitude is so important.  Any job can be satisfying if looked at with a proper frame of mind.  Now to look at the rest of the house with the right attitude!

Laundry isn’t about stacks and piles, or prespots and aromatic detergents. It is about people, and children, and babies and days clothed in colors and family. Laundry is memories. http://holyexperience.blogspot.com/

YES! To have the right attitude about all the He has bestowed… I am not there. But we can walk that way together….

    To the laundry room now….

    Warmly,
