• Castle Keeper Projects & Challenges – These Girls are Amazing

What a night the Castle Keeper girls had at their end-of-the-year party – celebrating their achievements this past year with the evening culminating in a pie auction to raise funds for our club. A Greek meal, chicken & beef gyros, was served along with falafel salad, Greek salad, hummus and the cutest little appetizers on a toothpick that had small bits of tomato, olives and cheese on it, drizzled with a little oil (I think). Whatever was on them, I think they were my favorite thing on the table. Serenity put together a slide show that showcased some of the girls’ meetings, monthly challenges and culinary challenges. I thought she…

  • Meet One of Our Delightful Castle Keeper Girls

Sometimes your dreams really do become reality. That is how I feel about our girls club Castle Keepers. For years I had thought about starting a girls club based on the Keepers at Home book that Keepers of the Faith published. But I just couldn’t get into it. I guess I had my own ideas and my own way of doing things. To be sure though, I did thumb through the book many times and received inspiration. They’ve done a great job with their program. After thinking about it for many years, I decided to just do it. I knew I would have regrets if I let this period in…

Be sure to turn your volume off! Here are some of the stationary pieces the Castle Keeper girls have made this month. One of my daughter’s stationary……

  • The Castle Keeper Girls Host A Holiday Party

The Castle Keeper girls wanted to have a Holiday Party and I said, “Sure… but you girls have to do all the planning. I’ll find the place to have it and you all do the rest.” I really loved the camaraderie the girls showed by each one taking on an aspect of the party and planning it. They worked really well as a team. Rebekah made the invitations and kept on top of all the RSVP’s. Trisha set the atmosphere with beautiful Christmas music she curated. She also organized and made a great many of the desserts. Serenity (on the right) planned the menu and made some of the food…

  • The Mystery Culinary Challenge

A surprise ingredient or theme, cooking, finding new recipes… Those are the 3 elements that make up the Mystery Culinary Challenge the Castle Keepers have to do each month. It’s a spin off of the television show called Master Chef Junior. In that show, they are given a mystery ingredient and once that is revealed, they are to make up a dish using it… all in a certain amount of time. Then the judges taste the dish and decide which contestants will stay for the next level and which are let go. With the Castle Keeper girls, we aren’t so involved because each of the girls complete the challenge…
