Celebrating! – A Homeschool Graduation Party
Apologies for the delay in posting this. We took the Castle Keeper girls on an outing – which you will hear all about at some point! 🙂
The evening of Serenity’s graduation was perfect. No rain, not too hot and not breezy – all things we’ve had to contend with this year. (We’re getting an amazing amount of rain this year – at least for Arizona – and it’s getting so green around here that it’s starting to look like Scotland!)
My amazing sister was once again here to help me with everything. She did so much work the day before and with her and a few others in the kitchen the day of, I was able to totally relax and just enjoy the party.
Flowers and candles were placed on the tables. Sadly, I didn’t get any pictures of the candles as night fell.
Dessert was an ice cream bar. Yum!
(all chalkboard signs were Pinterest inspiration)
We had speeches from the grandparents, our pastor and a few others along with a couple of songs – How Deep the Father’s Love for Us and a humorous one that was written by my daughter-in-law all about Serenity.
“Ohhhh, Serenity”
Each of Serenity’s siblings said something. That was really special.
We played a short video of Serenity when she was between 6 and 7 years old giving a speech for our homeschool day in which she was being quite humorous (all unintentionally).
And Uncle John came through again with one of his funny videos that he makes and sends since he can’t come to the graduations of his nieces and nephews.
Thanks Uncle John. We always look forward to them!
And like I have done with my other children who have graduated, I put together a slide show showing a little bit of Serenity’s life, which we showed.

Serenity, you’re so beautiful!! Seeing this brings back all the fun memories that I’ve had with you. Can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for you:) ❤️
Sister Elisabeth, it looks like you’ve pulled off another splendid celebration – excellent job! :):)

Thanks, Anna. I love celebrating milestones and I think completing high school is a big one because you are leaving your childhood behind and will now be an adult. Especially for the boys.
Lily

Everything looked great and how blessed to have a sister
Who took over so you could just enjoy!! It looks like it was a day that Serenity will never forget! Your waterfall makes such a perfect background in your pictures now…beautiful! Ok, I have to ask is that a brother handing her flowers or someone else?? 😉😊.
Elisabeth
Yes, I’m very blessed that my sister would do this for me. She’s so good at it, too!
That is not Serenity’s brother handing her flowers… it’s her cousin. 🙂

Loved the way everything was laid out and prepared, decorated. LOVED the main table with the waterfalls background and tablescape. What a fun and tremendous event you all put together and love all the help you have that are so good at taking over in all their own specialty!
Elisabeth
Thank you, Lucille, and yes, I’m very thankful for the help. What a blessing they are to me.
