After the wedding and reception, we headed to Indiana for the church camp arriving very late.
As always it was a wonderful time.
It had rained just enough that the ground was quite wet and where these kids played the grass was gone in just a matter of hours, leaving mud! My nephew Lincoln didn’t mind it a bit.
The fun thing about this youth camp is that if you have a desire to host a class where you share a skill or talent OR if you just want to do something fun with the kids, there’s plenty of opportunity.
There were hair clinics (where you go to get your hair fancied), bread baking classes, art classes, sewing classes, Hot Wheel car races, Dart gun contests, crafts for the younger kids, skits, choir and of course all the outdoor sports. Something for everybody.
A game of Ultimate Frisbee was going while others played softball and volleyball.
The staff have to show the campers they still know their thing, so one day they had a campers versus staff volleyball game.
The difference with the two teams was that the staff had to do some s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g exercises before they began. 🙂
But they did pretty well for themselves, losing by only 2 points.
The Snack Bar was where I worked once again this year.
Like who could not be happy looking at all these smiling faces….
…eager to spend their last dime. These kids are adorable!
Making memories and friendships.
But there was one sad thing that happened at the end of camp, but that will have to wait until next time.

Great to see young people having so much fun camping! Aside from school, summer camps can be one of the most influential times in a young person’s life. Great post!
