Good Times with Some Wonderful Young People
Since I have 3 older boys, I have had plenty of young men stay with us. This week though we get to host 4 lovely young ladies that belong to our Castle Keeper club from afar – 2 from Wisconsin & 2 from Oklahoma).
Their visit started off with a lot of activity – youth meetings at our church and gatherings here at the ranch. We had about 22 girls stay at our house over the weekend. Sleeping bags, hair, blankets, bobby pins, suitcases and sundry other items were all over the place. I’m sure you know how girls can be!
Near the house we have a ravine between 2 mountains where there are beautiful trees and a creek that runs when there is water which unfortunately we are low on here in Arizona and that’s where we hauled the kids up to.
While the kids went on a hike, we set up the picnic.
I decided to buy these little red hamburger baskets for our plates. I really liked their sturdiness and how they were not as cumbersome as a plate would be.
For the sides, I had small bags of chips, cole slaw and baked beans which I put in individual containers so they could just go through the line and take what they wanted. I was surprised to find out that nobody really wanted beans or cole slaw. Maybe the age of the crowd??
It was a gorgeous day in a gorgeous spot…
It was a wonderful weekend. This week we’ll be doing some sightseeing and getting ready for our Castle Keeper end-of-the-year party which is tomorrow night. Looking forward to it!
More pictures of our Castle Keeper adventures coming up!

What fun! You all are first class hosts and these kids will never forget this time together. May God bless you all, for all you do and those that helped you. We sure are thankful for all the times we got to spend time with you there. What a grand place and an oasis for us all who have experienced the Wallace hospitality!!!

I thought of you during the time everyone was here. You’ve been a good example to me.
