Week in Review 12/31/10 – 1/8/11
Backtracking a little…
The end of 2010 finished with a real cold snap. We kept our wood-stove burning and I kept my toes warm wearing socks all day. I don’t like cold feet! We even had snow – not bad for Arizona, wouldn’t you say?
View from the front of our house.
The kids love it when we get a snowfall.
Sandi didn’t mind it one little bit either.
My precious parents spent a few days with us after visiting family in Tucson, before they headed home.
The snow was here for a good week and the kids took advantage of it.
Went hiking in beautiful Sedona…
with a family that dropped in from Manitoba, Canada.
Did some more rearranging in my bedroom. My husband graciously moved the bed to a new wall.
and when they did I found 15 years of dust on the wall! This is after I had already vacuumed part of it. Am I the only one who never moves their bed to clean the wall? Please let me know I’m not alone here people. Hey, Arizona is dusty. Is that a good enough excuse?
And finally, we had our 1st young people’s Bible study at our home. After the study, they played what else but their old favorite – Dutch Blitz.
Ahem… No picture of this but I started an exercise program and I’ve successfully completed Week 1. I’m exercising 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. My poisonexercise of choice is racquetball. WooHoo! This is big stuff for me. 🙂

I LOVE your pics! ESPECIALLY the snow! – sorry Zoe 🙂 You’re coming?? When? The girls will be very happy to see you. Relax Elisabeth… you’re NOT alone. I don’t move my bed anymore either to clean. sigh. I’ve been thinking of rearranging my bedroom lately, too, but if I remember right, the last time I did that, everything ended up right back where it was in the first place. Oh well, at least I got to vacuum under the furniture. haha!

Thanks, Joane. Zoe flies in today and will be spending time in Tucson for Harmony in the Desert, then she’ll be here for a few days before she flies out.
As far as rearranging your room, you might be surprised what happens when you move things to areas you wouldn’t normally think of. I love new arrangements but sometimes it’s impossible and then I’m very disappointed!
Let me know when you do change your room. I’d love to see a picture.

Wow Elisabeth, It seems like you are on an organizing, cleaning, redecorating rampage. ha…did you get a great burst of energy?? I’ll have to say that if I didn’t clean behind my bed for that long I know the dust would look much worse, so you must not have much dirt come in your home. I do find it very refreshing to make little changes. Sometimes just little things make you feel like a room is totally different. I’ve enjoyed seeing all your organizing tips and ideas! I too hang most of my tablecloths on hangers. I’m in the organizing mood too right now…maybe it’s your post or being inside 🙂
Elisabeth
Well Mary, I have been taking bee pollen. 🙂 Mary, I’m quite sure I could learn from you about how to organize. If you have any great organizing tips, email me at timbuck2mom gmail com and maybe I could share them here with others.

I’m going to go get some bee pollen…have the will but not the energy 🙂 can’t wait to mix the two ha ha

I am such a believer in bee pollen for allergies and this bee pollen is probably over 5 years old but it works almost instantaneously for me. The last few days I’ve been taking it to boost my immunie system and I can’t sleep at night! Today – no bee pollen. I’m going to see if it’s the culprit for my insomnia!

What a gorgeous view you have, Elisabeth!
