Our Family

Home from the Keystone State – Pennsylvania

Hellllooo.  After being gone 10 days to see my sister and her family over the Thanksgiving holidays we’re back in the sunny state of Arizona

…with big head colds.

The Kleenex box is my best friend right now. 🙂

Monday I’ll do catch-up on our trip photos but today I’ll share with you some of the food we had on Thanksgiving that I thought was creative.

This is the most beautiful jello I have ever seen.  I’m not even a fan of jello but I still thought this was outstanding in its presentation.  Agree?

The same lady who made the jello also made this outstanding bread. Not only did it come out perfectly but it tasted wonderful.

I really thought this idea was clever that my friend Jody put together. She made a pepper and olive plate and in the middle of the platter she had these 3 goblets.

We had a lovely Thanksgiving.  My sister does an outstanding job preparing food and serving it beautifully and in a timely manner.  I am always impressed by how effortless she makes it all seem.  Thanksgiving day for me usually feels much more harried and rushed for me but when she’s in charge of the kitchen it’s not that way at all.

You’re amazing, sis.

You want to know some more about this sister of mine and how talented she is?

She made this basket in a 4-H class, no less.  It’s beautiful!  Oh, I would just love to have one of my own. (hint, hint)

And this wreath on her front door.  Wow! Somehow the creative genes in this family stopped at her.

I thought her Thanksgiving decor was so pretty.

You’ve got a lot of great ideas, Rebek.  You’re helping me to learn to think “outside the box”.  Thanks for all your hard work while we were there.  We had a grand time!

I'm linking this post up to Foodie Friday.
