Tea in the Tropics
My daughter hosted a Tea in the Tropics for her tea party club. What fun we had putting together this theme!
Even our old and ugly orange chairs were right at home in this colorful setting.
The napkins came from tableclothsfactory.com. They have a wide selection of colors and I think their prices are very reasonable. Including shipping, the cost of each napkin was $.75 and the shipping was fast. The “tablecloth” was material that we found on clearance. I paid $20 and the material covered 3 tables.
The centerpieces were fun to make. I took jars I had around the house, filled them with water and added shells from the Dollar Store. I put a few drops of blue food coloring in the water, cut some of our pampas grass and voila, it was done! Around the neck of the jar I placed a Hawaiian lei bracelet. Cost for this centerpiece was the price of the shells and the lei bracelet.
These weren’t very “tea-like” but were fun to put together. We had “Ocean Rafts by Jolly Rancher, Lifesavers & Beach Ball Bubblegum.
This adorable tea pot I bought on Ebay for $4.00 – an excellent price but then there was shipping to add to that.
I hope you enjoyed our tropical tablescape.

That first photo is so gorgeous! I love the long, beautifully decorated table in those colors. Clever centerpiece, too!

I completely enjoyed your tea time tablescape, and am especially impressed by the centerpieces — what wonderful creative uses for “around the house” items. Brilliant!
It looks as if it was a lovely table for a gathering of friends. How nice to have a tea party club!
Best wishes,

Tea party club, what a fun idea and what a fun table you all created. Thanks for putting me on to the tableclothfactory. You can’t beat the price for the napkins.

I LOVE it that she used a Tuscan style table!!! I utilize that elongated look as often as possible, and it is so elegant! The turquoise napkins are pretty…I’ll have to check out that website!
