Panna Cotta
I almost forgot to share this delicious recipe with you for panna cotta. If you’ll remember I made this last week for an Italian dinner I had with some friends. Since I promised you the recipe this week, I’m posting it in today. Saturday. I have been very busy this week shipping lots of books since my daughter was needing a break. There was no time for morning blogging unfortunately!
I had never made Panna Cotta before but I found this recipe by David Lebovitz who has a food blog called the same. It looked simple but delicious and besides I’m always ready to try a new recipe. So I did. We drank this when it was warm and it was delicious. I think next time I would substitute some of the whipping cream for half-n-half. I thought the Panna Cotta was very good with no fruit on top but it looks quite plain since it is all white. So, put a little garnish on top of fruit with drizzled chocolate syrup. I think the chocolate syrup is a must with the fruit.
You can read the original recipe here at David Lebovitz’s site or you can click on my Recipe page (at the top of this page) for a printable version.
