Celebrating My Girl's 10th Birthday
Two days after Thanksgiving, my Serenity had her 10th birthday. Serenity has been such a blessing to me with her sweet nature, although her brothers bring out the "other side" once in a while at least once a day.
Just for a bit of fun, on the invitation I asked the girls to dress in pink and green, if they wanted. Whoever had the most on of these colors would win a prize. It was so much fun to see them all in similar shades.
I knew there would be no way to choose a winner when they were covered with those two colors, so I chose a name out of the basket to determine the winner.
One of the activities consisted of decorating tote bags using fabric paints.
We also did a food relay that all the kids really enjoyed. There were two teams. Each person on the team took turns running to the front of the room and eating/drinking one of the items that I had on the table. We had juice, applesauce, 3 saltine crackers, bubble gum (chew & blow a bubble), and half a banana.
My niece, on the left, had never had one of these juices. So it took her a little bit to figure out how to do it.
Chewing 3 saltine crackers is a lot harder then it sounds!
But blowing a bubble – now that’s really hard! See, look how much concentration it takes. (my oldest sister.)
Lots of concentration! (my sister’s daughter)
After a few other activities it was cake time. What possessed me to make an orange cat when it was a pink and green party I don’t know, but lo, here it is. Sort of reminds you of Halloween, eh? I’m not an expert at cake decorating but shhh, don’t tell my kids that. They love my cakes.
Happy Birthday sweet girl. I love you lots.

I just love your color scheme for the girls to wear. My dd is going to be 7 the end of December, I will have to ask her if she want to have everyone wear a certain color. How Fun…
