Just for Fun

A Quiver of 17 Arrows – for Now

I thought my quiver was full until I read about this family that The Duggar Family - October 2006just had their 17th child!  Wowowee.

According to Discovery Health the Duggars’s have changed about 90,000 diapers.  Hmmm, I wonder if she uses cloth diapers?

You’ve got to see the house that they built debt free.  Go here for photos of their commercial kitchen, laundry room that has 4 washers and 4 dryers, the playroom which has an indoor slide, rock climbing wall and other entertainments.  Sounds like a built-in vacation spot.

After reading about Mr. and Mrs. Duggar, I feel like my family of 6 kids is rather small.  But eleven years solid of pregnancy PLUS nursing… (do you hear me whimpering)  <smiles>

I love this family. I had a girlfrind in NH that had 13 children when we moved. I loved Brenda and Chris' family. She and the Duggars did what my heart always wanted to do, have a baby every two years. But God had other plans for me. Which is probably a very good thing, the women in my family have late pregnancies. My Grandmother was born when her mother was 50! My mom was born when her mom was 40 and my sister was born when my mom was forty. Since I had my first at 19, and since twins run in my husband's family no telling how mamy arrows would have been in my quiver. My two bedroom Mobile home would be REALLY crowded! Hee hee!

We've just upgraded to a package that has TLC, so I'm looking forward to seeing the documentaries about larger families. I have eight children, but it doesn't feel (to me) like that many. We just go about our days…

My pastor's wife watched our children Saturday while My Honey and I went on a date. She mentioned that they used up the tortillas during dinner. I had my eldest make bean and cheese burritos. I said that 1 Costco sized package of tortillas lasts us two meals and she burst out laughing. Then she asked about eggs for breakfast. I use 18 for everyone. She said it took her family three weeks to go through 18 eggs!

I guess we are somewhat different!

I'm glad you liked the smoothie and thanks for letting me know!

    Blessings,

    Momma

Isn't it amazing! And I think you guys are well on your way… you kind of have a vacation spot (at least that is where we all go for our vacations)! 🙂

I love hearing from you! Thank you for taking the time to comment.
