A Little of This n That

Zachary, Serenity and Justus went with me to town yesterday along with 4 of our puppies.  I parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot and quickly made my escape ran in to do some much needed shopping while they opened the back hatch of the Suburban and hung out a Free Puppy sign.  Lo and behold when I came back out to the car 30 minutes later the last puppy was leaving.  I was quite amazed at how quickly they went.  We have 3 more to go since we’re keeping one. 

Justus my 4yo was quite the little salesman.  He would tell people, "The puppies are free; you take one."  One family was going to go buy some toys at the store; Justus told them to get a ball and a tractor.  "They like them."  (He’s the sweetest  little fellow.)

My son said he heard more than once, "I’ll take care of it mom.  Promise!"     (HeHe – I’ve heard that a time or two myself.)

New decorating trend? or Why You Should Not Let Your Boys Attempt Interior Design

Five of my children (4boys, 1girl) all share one bathroom.  My son just came in and said I should make one side of it for a girl and one side for a boy.  Paint 1/2 of it yellow, the other 1/2 pink.  Girly decorations on one side and hunting decor on the other.  Hmmm, have to think on that one, son. 

And finally, this week marks my 1 year blogging anniversary.  It’s been a lot of fun thanks to all of you who take the time to stop by and read for a few minutes.  I’m thankful to Homeschool Blogger for being the host.  It’s great being a part of a ‘community’ of fellow homeschoolers and Christians.

We’ll be doing a little camping with some other families this weekend and hoping to stay somewhat cool.  It’s hot here!
