Back from our Journey

We’re home again after traveling over 5,000 miles.  What a wonderful time we had from seeing old friends to visiting historic places.  Virginia was so interesting.  I HIGHLY recommend reading Stories of the Old Dominion that I mentioned in a previous post before traveling to Virginia.  It covers all the highlights and main characters who were instrumental in the establishment of our great country and a few others besides.  The book is written from a Christian perspective.

Vision Forum outdid themselves preparing for the week-long event.  The fireworks they shot off on Saturday night was unlike anything we’ve ever seen.  Absolutely incredible.

I was somewhat familiar with the history of our founding fathers but it became oh, so much more real to me on this trip.  The patriotism our forefathers had for this country is something not to be taken lightly.  They had wisdom, foresight and of course, God’s directing hand in most of what they did.  We have so much to be thankful for.  There has never been another country as great as ours since the world began.  God’s blessings have certainly been on this nation.
