Seeing the Special in the Everday
I didn't feel too well Monday morning. So, as I lay abed with two pillows at my head, my little girl, SH age 8,
first brought me a get well balloon –
and then…
breakfast in bed.
With this kind of treatment I rapidly felt better.
How blessed I am to have such a sweet, thoughtful girl.
Girls naturally fulfill the nurturing role much better then boys do. SH is always thinking about us around lunch time. Many times she supplies the fuel that keeps us going mid-day – as evidenced by this picture.
I am blessed. How often I overlook that fact in my days. One of my problems, (I won't tell you how many more I have) is having a hard time enjoying the moment and instead always looking to the future. Keeping a blog helps me to look at the here and now. When I write about the here and now, it makes me realize that simple things are beautiful and priceless, if we but recognize them.
Let's actively look for, and notice, how truly special our everyday lives really are and then give thanks to God for the simple ways He chooses to smile upon us.

It’s so nice to see your daughter strive to serve her family. The fruits of diligently training our children are so great as evidenced by your sweet girl. 🙂
Have a great day!

It is so nice when children think of things like that on their own. What a great kid!! You must feel so blessed.

What a sweet girl! My DS ( 6) brought me toast and juice in bed one morning – I think I still have the crumbs all over to prove it – LOL!
