Home Again, Home Again, Jiggety Jig
There were about 40 of us that went camping this past Thursday. Ten of the campers had elk tags which is a prized tag in Arizona. It's prized because the elk are usually bugling and it makes for easier hunting since you can locate them a little more effortlessly. When they're bugling it's a sign that they are in the rut (mating season). The bulls bugle to each other as a challenge because they are wanting to gather more cows in their herd. I know that I said we make our own electricity in this post about our house but honestly folks, we do have indoor plumbing. This is just a picture showing what boys in the country think is fun. Replacing Old Habits With New Ones
I have a son who, when he started school a few years ago, was very diligent in completing his work. Regretfully, somewhere along the way those good habits have been replaced by bad habits. He has a very negative outlook on his schoolwork. If he’s told he needs to complete the days work that day he’ll say, "Well I’ll be here till 11 o’clock. What should take him about 4 1/2 hours to complete will take him 10. No, I’m not kidding here. Just last night he was up till 11 p.m. I’ve seen him spend 6 hours on one math lesson. My Oldest Is Now 16
My oldest is turning 16 tomorrow. I remember when I was that age so well (or as well as I remember most things) and to think I have a son that old. Hes been a good boy and is maturing daily. He always asks if there is anything I need done, if I need anything carried to the car, unloads my groceries, always holds the door open for me when we are going into a store and has even shut the door when Ive gotten into the car.
