Math Achievement
Seth (age 16) just eats up math. His main interests seem to be math and geography; if we go to town he usually brings his atlas books along or his math. Last week Seth got to be involved in a math competition. All of the area schools send their top students to the competition. There were overall about 130 students that participated. Only 5 were homeschool students. Prior to the competition there is a research question posted on the Internet. It is not a math problem that you just give an answer to. Me and My Home Remedies!
I was only trying to help. On Saturday night my hubby was suffering from plugged sinuses that caused him to feel he had a severe toothache. I woke up at 3:00a.m. to take care of Audrey. He was lying there awake not being able to sleep because of the pain. He said he had taken 2 Ibuprofen at 1:00a.m. and that it hadn’t helped at all. Like most everyone I enjoy having traditions. A tradition can add spark or color to the most ordinary of days. Just like looking back on pictures, our minds seem to make the memory more special then it actually seemed at the moment of happening. It’s so easy to get caught up in just living life that we miss doing the little things that can make for special memories. Recipe Books
My oldest son, has resigned been banned from meal preparation. All is not lost, however. I have two other sons, Zachary and Wesley, who are eager to get in there and prepare scrumptious offerings for their family. So, I have assigned Wesley to help in the mornings with breakfast preparations and Zachary is going to try and make supper one night a week. Each of the boys made their own Recipe Books using a 3-ring binder. They designed their own covers using a computer graphics program.
