How God Kept the Goodwin Fire From Burning Our Home
Fire, an evacuation, escaping out a back way and the miraculous hand of God. All these things happened in the last few days. It all started Saturday afternoon around 4pm. A fire began in Pine Flats, Arizona about 7 miles from our house. That evening we could see some smoke. On Monday it looked like this from the front of our house. There was quite a bit of activity in the skies as helicopters and airplanes flew overhead to release water and slurry on the fire that was a few mountain ranges over. Special Memories and Moments
Hello my friends. I’m still alive and have even managed to squeeze a little time…. …a very little amount of time to decluttering. I think I’ve sent off about 4 bags to Goodwill. That felt good but perseverance is key. I must press on! 🙂 Graduations and entertaining have been the norm around here lately. Fun food idea I saw at my nephew’s graduation party. I loved what this graduate did. Thursday, June 1 marked our 4th annual Castle Keeper End of the Year Party and Pie Auction. What a fun evening we had. The party is to honor the girls who have been a part of Castle Keepers for the year and to raise funds for our club. We want the evening to be meaningful for them so that the girls feel honored and treasured. We are blessed to have such girls as our daughters and we want them to know that. Decluttering My Home
I’m excited. I have been waiting for this moment for quite a while…. since at least the beginning of the year. I just needed 5 months to get to it! Taking on the Freeing Task of Decluttering I’m getting ready to start decluttering closets and any other area that needs some attention and then I’ll be getting things into a more organized state around here. Paperwork, decluttering under the bathroom sink, whipping the pantry into shape again, drawers… I’m going to get to it. An Anniversary Get-Away
I love get-aways with my husband and although they’re usually just a day or two, this time he took me away for a whole week! In full disclosure I must tell you that it’s for our 25th anniversary that was 3 years ago! Yes, it’s true. It’s in honor of our 25th anniversary even though we just passed our 28th wedding anniversary a month ago.
