Craft/Work Day for our Back to the Middle Ages Co-op Day
We were able to accomplish quite a bit yesterday in our craft/work day. When everyone arrived we began a group project of making mosaic stepping stones. This young lady is feeling the pain at the thought of breaking a pretty salad plate. Breaking tile and dishes was great for the boys. They did it with relish – with not one iota of remorse. 🙂 After making our stepping stones we took a break for lunch. Then it was on to sewing for the girls and a wood working project for the boys. Middle Ages & Speech Co-ops
This post was originally published at Blogger here. Once a year, myself and some other homeschoolers from our church, get together for a speech/co-op day. Several months before we give our speeches, we vote on a topic; the children study it, write a speech and then deliver it to friends and family on the appointed day. We go all out with props, costumes, food and games. The children get to put into play their creative skills and practice speech making. This will be our 5th year. Menu Planning Monday – June 15
Last week Zachary & Serenity made breakfast all week long. They set their alarm and got up at 6a.m. and had it ready by 7! Usually we eat at 8-8:30 so this was quite an adjustment for me. Serenity was pretty tired by the end of the week, missing that extra hour of rest in the morning time. Zachary is an early bird so it was not unusual for him. This week I’m back on breakfast duty. This week things needed to be simple since my friend and her kids will be spending most of the week with us. We’re going to be busy sewing (besides LOTS of jabbering) so…
