Shhh! Don't Be Noisy – People Are Still Sleeping
Having wood floors in our house causes every sound to be magnified. So, not wanting to wake up anybody this morning, I thought to take off my shoes as I went down the hallway. One shoe slipped off with a thud. My other foot landed on top of the cast- off shoe causing me to lose my balance and making more noise. A minute later I heard a little voice (Audrey) saying, "Mommy?", signalling the beginning of another day in Timbuck2.

Miniature Pecan Pies
These mini pecan pies are easy to make. A nice touch at a luncheon or shower or if you need a finger dessert but want something a little more interesting than cookies, this would do nicely. Refrigerate 1 hour. Roll into 1.5" balls and press these into ungreased muffin tins (about halfway up the sides). Mix brown sugar, eggs, butter, vanilla and nuts for filling. Fill the mini crusts. Place muffin tins on a baking sheet and…

I’m feeling rather tired after going to bed late and getting up early to try and work on clues. This past weekend we had a family visiting whose 11yo son wanted to take a ride on one of our horses. He hasn’t rode much. For some reason, the horse came to a stop from a trot right in the middle of the road (we think it’s because he was laying on the horses head). The boy went flying over its head and hit hard. …

Birthday Time for Justus
Look who turned 4 this week! This is the boy who locked himself in the church bathroom and couldn’t get out, and another time when he was procrastinating eating his broccoli, received a phone call that caused him to eat it up. During my recent trip to Pennsylvania, when he stayed home with his daddy and brothers, Russell came upstairs one day to find him with 2 eggs on the counter and the frying pan heating up. Having no mother around to take care of him I guess it was a matter of survival. He’s a fun little guy. I’m already thinking of how, not too long from now, I’ll be teaching him…
