• My High School Graduate

I write the following post for myself of our homeschooling journey.  However, I hope it’s of benefit to others as they will reach this stage all too soon.  We’re beginning a new journey and although our story is not a perfect one (as you’ll read below), real life rarely is.  We’re human; we make mistakes.  Inevitably.  But we serve a God who has all in order and who makes all things perfect in His time.  We rest in that. Our Story – My first son, Seth, has finished high school.  It happened rather unexpectedly.  You might think that very strange and I hesitate to even write it because it does sound rather odd. …

  • Public Speaking – One of the Most Feared Activities

Over four thousand people gathered this past weekend at out state homeschool conference.  A great many speakers were brought in but my personal favorites were Teresa Moon and Mary Schofield. Teresa Moon spoke on Public Speaking and Coaching Cultural Communicators.  Some of the things we heard were:  "Nothing we do is done without communication." and "Only 5% of Americans are ready and willing to take the public platform." • Glad to Be Home

We just got back from driving over 4,000 miles.  My poor hubby drove it all himself since we had a big trailer on the back and he didn’t feel comfortable with anyone but himself behind the wheel.  Don’t you just feel for me not being able to drive?   Our journey’s took us to a youth camp where we enjoyed ourselves immensely and then to my parents where we loaded up their furniture in the trailer we were towing to bring it back to Nevada.  They’re going to be only 6 hours away from where we live.  What a treat for me since they’ve always been so far away.  It almost feels…
