Showing Appreciation to Those Around You
Who doesn’t enjoy being told that they are appreciated, that their life has influenced another? We all enjoy that but how often do we express to others what they have meant to us? I know I’m certainly remiss in this but since November’s monthly challenge for our Castle Keeper girls was appreciation, I have been considering it quite a bit. (1 girl was unable to make it, but we made her salsa so everyone could try it) Some of the aprons that were made in the month prior. After the tasting, the girls then got busy learning how to make tamales. Plenty of tamales to last each family a couple of meals. The girls were given these…

An Update on the Girls Club
A few weeks ago I told you about how I had wanted to start a girls club but had never made it a priority until just a few months ago. We have now voted on a name and we’re calling ourselves “Castle Keepers”. Our girls are learning home keeping skills for their future “castles”. We had our first class on apron making. The kids had a lot of fun but we mothers are having a great time as well. One of the mom’s suggested that each of the girls make a 2nd apron just to cement the skills they had learned in the apron class. It was an idea that…
