The Week in Review 7/25/10
Audrey, the little farm-girl, walks to the chicken coop every morning to collect the wonderful eggs the hens have layed. But as she returns from the gathering of the eggs, she spy’s something in the grass… something right at her feet… Set down your eggs, little lady, and look at it a little closer… Oh, it’s a delicate little mushroom. Alas for the tan colored ‘shroom it is given only a cursory glance before being cast from the yard. Now the little farmer girl can continue on her way… glancing hither and yon for more curiosities… The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity. ~Dorothy Parker

The Week in Review – 7/11/10
Monsoons are starting to hit Arizona. I hear some thunder occasionally, the sky is overcast and there’s a cool breeze gently wafting over me as I type this post. It’s lovely. It has been quite hot here but not near as scorching as in Phoenix. Just this past Friday, Phoenix was 117° but thankfully we don’t live in Phoenix. Friday night was graduation night for some fellow homeschoolers… I…

He runs and jumps in the air and just yesterday I saw him butting his head with the Boer doeling that was born in May. This is Charming our 100% Nubian buckling. Charming has a twin which we named Bernard. Bernard is strong but Charming is the bigger one of the two. If you’re wondering if all our goats are named, they’re not. Not…

The Week in Review – 6/20 – 7/6/10
We’re home safe and sound after traveling 4200 miles to Ohio and back. What a wonderful time we had; I could have stayed gone longer. The church camp services were wonderful and of course, seeing old friends is always a treat. Notice the big smiles. This is the BEFORE picture – the afternoon we left Arizona and headed for Ohio. We drove 24 hours and then got a hotel room the next night. Camp was a time for cousins to be reunited… There were so many activities that the kids could be involved in. Chess & checker games… These girls are from the Ukraine and they were playing checkers the Ukrainian way…
