Kayaking Watson Lake and Viewing the Vistas
By the time you read this post we’ll be down at the bottom of Havasupai. Our 3rd time to trek in to see this most beautiful place.
We’ve had people flying in since Thursday and this time we did something we had never done before and that was to visit a local place called Watson Lake where we rented kayak’s.
It was quite enjoyable. Although they do not prorate the rentals, I think 1 1/2 hours would be ideal. It’s not a large lake.
There’s also a walking/bicycle trail that goes around the lake.
Of course, we had some climbers in our small group. 🙂
So we took them to a place where they could really do some climbing – the Granite Dells which is located near Watson Lake.
Very unusual rock outcroppings all around.
Castle Keeper girls from Pennsylvania and Arizona…
You have to be really small to fit through this narrow rock crevice that takes you to another path.Â
I was out of breath a few times climbing to the top of these rocks. It makes me wonder if I am really ready for the Havasupai hike or not but no turning back! I guess I’ll know by Friday when I hike out of Havasupai!
