Our Last Monthly Challenge for the 2013/2014 Year
Well our first year, 2013/2014, for our girls club is almost over all except for our end-of-the-year party. Our last monthly challenge is finishing up next week but since Serenity and Audrey have already completed it, I decided to share it with you.
The challenge was to make another young mother a gift for her baby girl that was still to be born. (She has since had a healthy little one.) For those over 13, it had to be made by hand. If they were under 13, they could either make something or purchase store items but they were to present it creatively.
Audrey chose to make these adorable onesie cupcakes.
And with the new mother…
Serenity made a taggie blanket. Inside the blanket she placed a piece of plastic from a potato chip bag so it would have a crunchy sound.
She also made a felt flower and attached it to a headband.
Many of the girls completed the challenge before the baby shower and were able to present it to her then. It was so fun to see what the girls had ventured out to make. Nursing blanket, bibs, onesies with a skirt attached, a blanket, cupcake onesies, taggie blanket and a headbead and flower. They all did a beautiful job.

Audrey, your cupcakes looked nice in the little box and I imagine that they were really delicious also.
The head band looked nice also, is it for the little girl?
Elisabeth
Yes, the headband was for the new baby.

I love Audrey’s skirt in the picture where she is presenting the onesie cupcakes! Did you or Serenity make it? Great gift ideas girls!!
Elisabeth
Serenity made that skirt from a tutorial she found online. I think it is super cute, too.
