A Fine Dinner & Giving to Charity
The Castle Keeper girls have been busy each month with their monthly challenges but I have been remiss in posting them. So here is February & March’s monthly challenges here in one post.
In February, the girls had two challenges. One was to drink 4 1/2 cups of water 6 days a week and the second challenge was to prepare one (1) course of food for your parents. For example, appetizer or dessert. If they wanted to make a whole meal that was fine but they were only obligated to 1 course. If there was more than one girl involved in Castle Keepers, each girl was to prepare a course.
There were 3 requirements.
1) They had to serve their tidbits somewhere besides the supper table.
2) There had to be music.
3) There needed to be candlelight.
Guess what? Every girl opted to make an entire meal and there were some really nice ones served up. Serenity and Audrey did a fantastic job.
Audrey decorated the table.
…and made a Strawberry-Limeaid drink for us from scratch.
In the meantime Serenity was busy in the kitchen. The menu was salad, grilled chicken (grilled by me – the only thing Serenity did not do), a potato dish, and artisan bread with fresh fruit tarts for dessert.
It was a fantastic evening – romantic music playing in the background and my girls serving us… mmmm, it was just great. I’ve been to a lot of nice restaurants but I’m pretty sure I’ve never enjoyed an evening as much as this one.
And the ending to our meal was as delicious as the start. The fruit tarts were fabulous.
For March’s challenge it was one of service. I gave the girls the names of 6 organizations that they were to make and send an item to. Some organizations need pillowcases, others crocheted hats or blankets.

What your girls prepared and the presentation really put a smile on my face! They are certainly “keepers”! 🙂
