We did an experiment once where we planted some seeds during a “fertile” moon sign (cancer) and some under a “dead” sign. The “fertile” plants were robust & healthy while the “dead” plants came up sparcely and were very spindly. I try to start the seeds under the “cancer” sign, if possible. I’m not so picky about transplanting them on certain days, although I do keep it in mind. (If it’s snowing and cold and the right day, I do not plant) likewise if it’s sunny & nice and not the right sign, I may transplant anyway. I’m not a fanatic about it, but find it interesting and it does seem to work. I did use it to wean all of my children and to start potty training when they were little. I found it very helpful.

Zachary’s working at the military fort right now. It’s him, his 2 cousins and his boss (who is a believer). I never can remember what exactly it is they do but it’s something with wiring. All the classroom have to get new wiring to run computers, etc.

Have you found planting with the moon to be the way to go?

What kind of work is Zachary undertaking? I’m sure you miss him terribly, especially now that it’s garden time.

We get our “black gold” from our neighbor’s horses. Sounds like you should have plenty to work with before long!
