Wow, these sound tasty and healthy, which is a great combination!

The idea of slipping in some spinach – I like that. 🙂

Ok… here’s my idea of the day for breakfast 🙂
Fruity Loopty ~ ok, that’s not really what it’s called, but that’s what Armando calls it! It’s a Fruit Shake. You can get pretty creative with these and they’re delicious. I have some variations I plan to try soon:

In a blender add:
the juice of one whole grapefruit (if you happen to have some – they’re expensive!)
about a cup of frozen strawberries
about a cup of frozen mixed berries
enough sugar or honey to lighly sweeten if you need it sweetened which I do
a handful of spinach (yes, you heard right – spinach)
fill the rest with water and blend till smooth.
YUM! If they don’t KNOW there’s spinach in it, they’d never know 🙂 hee hee

Other options (I have tried or plan to in the near future):
Frozen Bananas (I buy a lot at a time when their on sale, peel them, freeze them on
a cookie sheet and then put them in ziplock bags. They only keep for maybe 2
months and they start turning brown
Kale, Collard greens, Mustard greens, cilantro, lemon grass, wheat grass, or parsley
(I prefer kale or spinach)
Frozen Cantaloup, Honeydew, apricots, peaches, or any other fruit
Fruit juice of any kind fresh squeezed or concentrate
freeze plain or flavored yoghurt in ice cube trays and add a couple cubes or three (I
thought you might like that one)
flax seed
Sprouted (or not) sunflower seeds, almonds, or others (haven’t tried that yet, but
Armando suggested that to me the other day (not sprouted)
