I love it when they cook, too, although that doesn’t happen much around here. I agree that if they make supper, they get a break. It’s a way to encourage them to keep at it. We sure don’t want our chefs in the making to get discouraged. 🙂

But, lots of times we usually end up helping each other with both jobs.
